Peekaboo - Current South Africa at the Tennis Palace 20.8.2010-16.1.2011
Peekaboo - Current South Africa exhibition brings South African modern art to Helsinki. The themes of this magnificent exhibition include the political and societal change in South Africa, personal identity processing and ecological thinking.
There are twenty South African artists in the exhibition: Jane Alexander, Roger Ballen, Conrad Botes, Wim Botha, Hasan & Husain Essop, Pieter Hugo, Lunga Kama, Anton Kannemeyer, William Kentridge, Lawrence Lemaoana, Nandipha Mntambo, Zanele Muholi, Daniel Naudé, Claudette Schreuders, Johannes Mashego Segogela, Penny Siopis, Mikhael Subotzky, Nontsikelelo Veleko and Diane Victor.
Art pieces represent various kinds of art forms such as paintings, photographs, animations as well as installations.
